Mr. Meeseeks - Rick and Morty Plush - Free Crochet Pattern

UPDATE 2/11/23: Added a lil note about BLO, otherwise this pattern is still good!

He's Mr. Meeseeks! LOOK AT HIM! I know this took me a while, but he actually shouldn't take long to make if you work on him continuously, which is what I did not do. This is the perfect pattern to share on Valentine's Day though, amirite? EXISTENCE IS PAIN!

Focusing now...

My finished Meeseeks is about 11" tall.
Gauge = 4.5 sts/inch; 3 rows/inch

I worked in BACK LOOPS ONLY. This is not important unless you want the same texture. Just double-check your gauge, but from what I can tell, tight BLO seems to run the same as most peoples' regular ol' sc.

Whatcha Need:
  • Size F crochet hook (or whatever really, depends on what size you want him to be)
  • Worsted weight yarn in turquoise or similar color, a little black, a little white, a little orange if you want hair - I used Red Heart Supa Sava in Turqua, Black, White, and Pumpkin
  • yarn needle
  • stitch marker
  • your preferred fiber fill
Abbreviations:
  • ch: chain
  • sc: single crochet
  • dec: decrease (single crochet 2 together)
  • inc: increase (2 single crochets in the same stitch)
  • rnd(s): round(s)
  • st(s): stitch(es)

Do These Things:
Body and Head (total sts is noted in parentheses)
  • Starting at butt, ch 4, join to make loop;
  • Rnd 1: 8 sc in loop;
  • Rnd 2: inc in each around (16);
  • Rnd 3: work even (16);
  • Rnd 4: *sc 1, inc, repeat from * around (24);
  • Rnd 5: work even;
  • Rnd 6: *sc 2, inc, repeat from * around (32);
  • Rnds 7-11: work even;
  • Rnd 12: *sc 2, dec, repeat from * around (24)
  • Rnds 13-17: work even;
  • Rnd 18: *sc, dec, repeat from * around (16);
  • Rnd 19: work even;
  • Rnd 20: inc around (32);
  • Rnds 21-22: work even (32);
  • Rnd 23: *sc, inc, repeat from * around (45);
  • Rnds 24-30: work even;
  • Rnd 31: *sc 3, dec, repeat from * around (36);
  • Rnd 32: *sc 2, dec, repeat from * around (27);
  • Rnd 33: *sc, dec, repeat from * around (18);
  • Rnd 34: dec around (9);
  • Stuff and close

Arms (make 2)
  • Starting at hand, ch 4, join to make loop;
  • Rnd 1: 8 sc in loop;
  • Rnd 2: inc in each around (16);
  • Rnds 3-5: work even;
  • Rnd 6: *sc 1, dec, repeat from * around (11);
  • Rnd 7-8: work even;
  • Rnd 9: * sc 2, dec, repeat from * around, sc in last st because it won't come out even (9);
  • Rnds 10-24: work even, break off and leave a long tail for sewing on

Legs (make 2)
  • Starting at foot, ch 5, DO NOT JOIN TO MAKE LOOP OMG;
  • Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 2 sts, 3 sc in last ch, sc back up the opposite side of the chain, ch 1 in 1st ch (12);
  • Rnd 2: sc in next 5 sts - the start of each round is the toe end, if you were wondering -, 3 sc in 6th st, sc in remaining sts (14);
  • Rnd 3: inc, sc in next 5 sts, inc, sc, inc, sc remaining sts (17);
  • Rnds 4-5: work even;
  • Rnd 6: dec, dec, sc in remaining sts around (15);
  • Rnd 7: dec, sc remaining (14);
  • Rnd 8: dec, sc remaining - stuff the foot at some point around now or you'll regret it (13);
  • Rnd 9: dec, sc around (12);
  • Rnds 10-15: work even;
  • Rnd 16: sc 4, dec twice (10);
  • Rnds 17-20: work even, break off and leave a long tail for sewing on

Eyes (make 2)
  • Ch 4, join to make loop - this is the eye, no joke! Leave a tail for stitching it into place and sew a bit of white into the eyes for the highlights.

Sew all of your parts on accordingly. Finish up your Meeseeks with hair (optional) and whatever sort of face you want using black yarn.
